HABITAT HOUSE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Asbury's Habitat house is under construction in the Iron Station area. These pictures were taken on April 16.
Asbury UMC donated the money for the building materials for a home for a grandmother and her five orphaned grandchildren. The funds came from the estate of a longtime Asbury member, Gorman Shrum, who left money for needy families.
In addition to funds for building materials, Asbury men and women will donate the required "sweat equity" which families receiving Habitat homes must provide.
Construction trades students at the Lincoln County School of Technology work on the Habitat home as part of their training.
